Our Counseling Center Supports Students Affected by the Ukraine Crisis

The Hokkaido University Community is diverse with many international students from all around the world.
We recognize how disturbing the traumatic impact of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine is.
Our hearts and prayers are with all students who are personally impacted by the devastating situation. The Student Advice and Counseling Center extends our support to those affected regardless of the students’ nationality.
We are here to support students who are in need of emotional support or struggling with mental health.
If you need support getting through these difficult times,
please contact us at yoyaku@sacc.hokudai.ac.jp or (011) 706-8001 and ask to speak to a counselor.
We welcome both individual counseling requests and friends group meeting requests to see our counselor.

Become a peer supporter

Hokkaido University takes applications for peer supporters at designated times throughout the year. Peer supporters are paid part-time staff (administrative assistant) of the university. Check out the peer support unit web site or come to the Center for more information.

If you would like to make a counseling appointment, please call us, email us, or even just drop by in person. Students with appointments are given priority, so we recommend making an appointment.
