The Student Advice and Counseling Center’s Counseling Policy in Response to the “Hokkaido University Business Continuity Plan During Coronavirus Outbreak” (Level 1)

Nov 01, 2021
  • emergency

In response to the change to Level 1 of the “Hokkaido University Business Continuity Plan During Coronavirus Outbreak,” the Student Advice and Counseling Center (SACC) is now offering consultation services under the following system. Although the status has been lowered to Level 1, we are still taking a cautious approach, as online classes are the current standard at Hokkaido University. Coronavirus infections are still widespread, so we are postponing the shift to face-to-face counseling. Please note that the Center’s consultation system is subject to change due to changes in the level of the university’s BCP.

Consultations:    As a rule, remote consultation (ZOOM or WEBEX) will be used.
However, we will take into account the student’s condition in addition to technological factors (Internet environment, etc.) and based on that assessment, we may decide to provide face-to-face counseling in some cases.

How to make an appointment: Appointments can be made by email only. If you would like to request a face-to-face appointment, please inform us by email when making your appointment.

〇 Countermeasures against infectious diseases at the Student Advice and Counseling Center

We have a strict coronavirus infection control policy in the Center, so you can rest assured that we will make exceptions for face-to-face consultations when deemed necessary. Acrylic boards are installed in the interview rooms and reception area to prevent transmission.
