March Zoom Language Corner! Sponsored by the International Student Support Desk

Do you want to make friends? Do you want to improve your English or Japanese language skills? Do you want to talk to students from other departments? The International Student Support Desk invites you to join Zoom Language Corner!!!

The International Student Support Desk holds Zoom Language Corner (LC) on Tuesdays and Fridays.

We discuss various topics in either English or Japanese. Zoom Language corner is perfect for people who want to: improve your Japanese and English skills, help others in improving their language abilities, or just make friends and talk to new people. Join us and let’s have a fun time together!

If you feel uncomfortable participating, you’re welcome to join with your video off and just observe Language Corner. Let us know in your mail that you would like to be an observer.

◆Time (every week): Tuesday 12:15-12:45/Friday 14:00-14:30
◆Eligibility: Hokkaido University international students and Japanese students
◆Application: Please apply by e-mail sent from your HOKUDAI e-mail address, include the following information:
1.name 2. affiliation 3. date and time of LC you want to participate in.
We will send you the password and meeting ID.
◆Deadline: by noon (12:00) on the day you would like to participate.

Become a peer supporter

Hokkaido University takes applications for peer supporters at designated times throughout the year. Peer supporters are paid part-time staff (administrative assistant) of the university. Check out the peer support unit web site or come to the Center for more information.

If you would like to make a counseling appointment, please call us, email us, or even just drop by in person. Students with appointments are given priority, so we recommend making an appointment.
