The Student Advice and Counseling Center’s counseling policy in conjunction with the “Hokkaido University Business Continuity Plan During Coronavirus Outbreak” (Level 3)

According to the “Hokkaido University Business Continuity Plan During Coronavirus Outbreak” the university precautionary level has been raised to Level 3. In conjunction with this change, the Student Advice and Counseling Center has adopted the following operating plan.

 

○ Student Counseling Office, International Student Counseling Office, Accessibility Services Office

Method of consultation: As a rule, all consultations will be conducted by remote video services (Zoom, Webex)
Appointment method: By email only

Reception Desk hours: 10:00-17:00
Staffing: Staff members will be on a working-from-home rotation schedule. Counselors will be conducting remote video consultations from the Student Advice and Counseling Center.

○ Peer Support Unit
The Peer Support Unit will suspend activities until further notice.

Become a peer supporter

Hokkaido University takes applications for peer supporters at designated times throughout the year. Peer supporters are paid part-time staff (administrative assistant) of the university. Check out the peer support unit web site or come to the Center for more information.
